As part of a bridge rehabilitation contract American Contracting will be rehabbing the bridge decks on both the  West Bound and East Bound I-40 Bridges over the Yadkin River.  Their plans are as follows at this time.

 

 

American Contracting plans to start the closures of I-40 on May 17 in the Westbound direction.  Both Westbound lanes will be closed.  The weekend closures will last from 8:00 PM Friday to 6:00 AM  Monday.  They will not be working over Memorial Day weekend but will start back again on May 31.  Each direction of I-40 will be closed for three weekends.  Only one direction of I-40 will be closed during each weekend closure.  We will have message boards out pre-advertising this and will keep them updated for the public to know weekends to expect closures.  This work is weather dependent.  Also, during the week between the weekend closures, nightly lane closures will be utilized from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM to complete other required contract work, during these times one lane will be left open and the bridge will not be closed.

 

A signed off-site detour will be provided as follows:  NC-801, US-158 and Harper Rd.

The course included many former professional players, such as Juan Pablo Angel (seen in pic above).  
 

This winter, Scott Wollaston (Executive Director), Patrick Bridges (Youth Academy Director), Katherine Skarbek (Staff coach), Jeremy Ward (Staff Coach) and Alexis Ward (Staff Coach) all attended the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Yearly conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.
