"Classic Boys Program off to a positive start"
The Classic Boys Program is off to a positive start for the 2013/2014 season. The season started with the Pre-season Camps which were well attended and gave the coaches a great opportunity to introduce their style of coaching and build relationships with the players. The team camps incorporated technical and tactical concepts as well as teambuilding activities which are always well received by the players.
Within the teambuilding activities the players were fortunate to get the chance to work with Jonathan Berry from Great Heights LLC. Great Heights provides interactive, engaging programming to build upon strengths and address challenges through the promotion of leadership development, individual growth, and group cohesiveness. The players responded very well to the group scenarios and it challenged them to work together to achieve a specific goal.
The team camps for next year are already set and each Classic Boys team will train on either of the below weeks.
Monday, July 28th – Thursday, July 31st
· Monday, August 4th – Thursday, August 7th
Almost all Classic Boys Teams have had the opportunity to play in a Pre-season tournament in preparation for the league season and it has given those teams a good guide to the key areas of improvement moving forward. There have been some exciting early season successes.
