Twins will offer several different camps to accommodate players of all levels within the club. Still confused after reading below? Contact your team coach, or Mark Simpson (email@example.com) for more details.
Twins Recreation Fun Camps
U7 - U14 Recreation players will have TWO camp week options! Players can attend the week of July 27-30 OR August 3-6. Remember, if you have so much fun you can always come both weeks! Recreation camp will take place in the morning time slot (8:00 AM-11:00 AM). During camp, coaches will lead players through a variety of exciting games to help teach and remind players of basic skills. Skills that will be covered are dribbling, running with the ball, proper passing, receiving, and ball striking. Each day will be different! There will be a 30 minute break in the middle of the camp day so the players can spend some time relaxing out of the heat.
Twins Junior Academy Camps
Junior Academy players will have TWO camp week options! Players can attend the week of July 27-30 OR August 3-6. Remember, if you have so much fun you can always come both weeks! Academy camp will take place in the morning time slot (8:00 AM-11:00 AM). Coaches will be working with players in small groups for most of the camp day, with a big group warm up and big group games at the end of the day. There will be a 30 minute break in the middle of the day, so players can relax indoors. Skills that will be emphasized are ball control, 1 v 1 moves, passing techniques, receiving with different surfaces, ball striking, and 1 v 1 defending. Each camp day will finish with small sided games, sometimes barefoot!
Twins Select (Classic & Challenge) Team Camps
Classic and Challenge players: Hold these dates!
Camp will be the week of July 27-30 OR August 3-7. Dates for each team will be solidified after the coaching assignments are announced. Camps during these weeks will take place from 8:00 AM-11:00 AM or 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. These camps are run by the team coach, and we hope each player is able to participate. It's a valuable time for teammates to get to know each other better and start to come together as a group. Coaches and outside instructors will lead players through team building activities and different training sessions throughout the camp. Each morning or evening will end with a scrimmage against another team that is of comparable age and skill-level so coaches and players can see how it all begins to fit together.
Camps last year were a blast! We're looking forward to 2015!
