Twin City Youth Soccer Association (TCYSA) was incorporated in 1988. Its purpose was to develop, promote and advance youth soccer in the Winston-Salem area and allow players to develop to their highest potential.
Currently, there are nearly 3,000 boys, girls and adults who are involved in TCYSA programs. The Association is made up of the Directors of Coaching who oversee the development of players along with a group of professional and volunteer coaches, as well as a full time administrative staff that run the day to day operations of the club. In addition, a volunteer executive board of directors supports the full time staff in following the vision of the club.
In 2016-17, TCYSA will be comprised of a COMPETITIVE division (8U-10U Junior Academy, 11U-19U Select, and 11U-19U Classic), and a RECREATION division (Youth 5U-16U & Adult). All COMPETITIVE programs will be part of the Seattle Sounders partnership, known as the Twin City Sounders.
TCYSA is also part of the North Carolina Soccer Fusion (NCSF), a partnership with Greensboro United Soccer Association (GUSA), to provide the highest level of soccer in the country to players in the Piedmont Triad area. The NCSF is part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA) for boys and the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) for girls.
TCYSA is a member of the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) and US Club Soccer.
TCYSA owns and operates BB&T Soccer Park, one of the top sports facilities in the Southeast, just west of Winston-Salem in Davie County.
TCYSA seeks to provide the EXEMPLARY soccer experience in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. This experience is epitomized through its club culture, "The Twins Way", and its style of play, "The Twins Style". "The Twins Way" emphasizes the club's commitment to the areas of FUN, RESPECT, and CHARACTER through the relationship between the PLAYERS, COACHES AND PARENTS. "The Twins Style" emphasizes the club's commitment to a prioritized and progressive approach to the 4 components of the game of soccer guided by the following areas:
1. Developmentally appropriate environment
2. Possession based style of play
3. Developing creative and confident players
4. Fighter mentality
5. Applying evidence based coaching
As a direct result of this experience, the club is experiencing strong growth, and is attracting players from communities outside the greater Winston-Salem area. We are the Elite Soccer Program in the Triad.
The goal of the club is to make sure that every player, regardless of the program you are involved in, will have a great experience and will have the opportunity to "Play to Your Potential!"
