Twins Youth Academy has now joined I-Soccer’s National Standards Project. This endeavors seeks to encourage our players to work with a ball more on their own time, and give them an opportunity to compare their skills with other players in our club, as well as across the country. Check out more details at www.isoccer.org.
Twins Youth Academy has partnered with Greensboro United Soccer Association to form the NC Fusion Youth Academy Developmental League. This partnership seeks to do the following:
*provide consistent coaching and development philosophies between programs
*provide a positive and proper environment for players, coaches, parents and officials.
*provide the proper level of competition for the players, allowing them to be challenged, while allowing them to achieve success
*decrease the amount of travel associated with Select programs
*provide a clear direction and best development opportunity for the youngest players in GUSA and TCYSA in their path to the NC Soccer Fusion
Through the NC Fusion Youth Academy Developmental League, the Twins Youth Academy has partnered with GUSA on a HYBRID Youth Academy Program. This program allows the Twins Youth Academy Program to be a little more selective (80 boys and 80 girls will be selected), while providing an opportunity for players that want to get Youth Academy training. This Hybrid program will be available to players that are not quite at the level of the top 80 boys or 80 girls in the Youth Academy Program, and will give them the opportunity to play in the Twins Recreation program, while training 1 time each week in the Twins Youth Academy and playing 4 games each season (Fall & Spring) in the NC Fusion Youth Academy Developmental League. More information about the Hybrid Youth Academy Porgram will be available at the Twins Open House on May 7th.
Make sure to register before May 1st to receive a $25 discount on Youth Academy Evaluations!
